Video - Murray State’s New M.S. in Sustainability Science Degree



Murray State University's new graduate-level program in sustainability (M.S. in sustainability science degree) started in the fall of 2014.The new degree is the first graduate level program of its kind in Kentucky. This degree is meant to meet the demand from students in a wide range of disciplines that have expressed an interest in a cleaner earth and a healthier environment.

Murray State is not new to sustainability. All the way back in 1925 the school started offering classes in conservation and climatology. Murray State is part of the global effort to find innovative solutions to contemporary environmental and social problems.

Whether you are interested in environmental, agricultural or education, this new sustainability degree can be tailored to meet your needs. unique in many ways. Regardless of which track you pursue there are elective courses in agriculture, chemistry, biology, mathematics, geology, occupational safety and health, and education.
