Video - Bhutan's National EV Strategy

Bhutan, has launched a unique partnership designed to help it on its way to becoming a global leader in electric vehicles. Bhutan and Nissan are working together to electrify government vehicles and taxi fleets. They are also working on a national charging infrastructure. The partnership was announced by Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn.

Bhutan may be a tiny nation but as part of an ambitious clean energy initiative, the EV strategy shows that you do not have to be big in size to have grand aspirations for societal betterment.

Bhutan's leadership should come as no surprise given that this is the nation that brought the world the "gross national happiness" metric. In addition to slashing fossil fuel use this is the first nation to pledge to be 100 percent organic.
