It’s Time 2015 will feature Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. This cross-sector initiative brings women and men together to achieve gender equity and empower women and girls at all levels to be leaders. It is expected to draw up to 2,500 attendees representing a full spectrum of social and economic diversity, while satellite events occur simultaneously in partner cities across the U.S.
It’s Time Network is a diverse network of women and men working to evolve democracy and affirm the value of interdependence between all people and groups. Building connections between political leaders, grass roots activists, local communities, and national associations, ITN’s mission is to generate awareness around the importance of empowering women and girls and galvanize action across a range of issues including:
- Gender Equity
- Economic Equality
- Active And Balanced Political Participation
- Peace And Security
- Regenerating the Earth
Women make up more than half the U.S. population, yet they are underrepresented in positions of power and opinion in every sector of American society.
It’s Time Network believes the full empowerment of women and girls calls for gender partnership by unifying voices and sharing resources across all sectors. We envision a world in which women and men share collective equality and equal representation, as we evolve our democracy, build a fair economy, and regenerate the Earth. Through curating annual summits, local advocacy groups, and funding opportunities, ITN aims to address challenges that stem from the preclusion of women at decision-making levels across all sectors.
ITN will host the annual It’s Time Partnership Summit that brings together network partners through inclusive and interactive dialogue about our common future.
It’s Time 2015: The Partnership Summit
The inaugural three-day event presented by It’s Time Network, along with our convening partners Women Donors Network, the Global Fund for Women, Women Moving Millions, Women’s Funding Network, and Let Girls Lead, will draw an audience of up to 2,500 representing full spectrum of social and economic diversity. The summit will highlight organizations and thought leaders who recognize the need for women and men to work together to elevate women’s leadership and participate in designing a better future for our world. Multiple satellite gatherings in Partner Cities around the US will be streamed live globally. Subsequent summits will continue the momentum, report on progress and advance the growing network’s collective impact.
Partner Cities Program
It’s Time Network collaborates on a local level with established organizations driving change. A diverse set of community leaders, politicians, activists and funders work together to ensure women’s participation at decision-making tables across all sectors in their cities. In parallel with the annual It’s Time Partnership Summit, each Partner City will host satellite-viewing gatherings that connect with the entire network to catalyze and renew commitment to a collective agenda.
Current Partner Cities
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle.
For more than a century, local, national, and global organizations have been working to advance leadership among women and girls across a range of issues. It’s time to change the conversation about gender equity. It’s time to tell a new story about women leaders and what they can continue to accomplish.
