In Amazon's fulfillment center we can see how robots are helping to expedite processes and enhances efficiency. Amazon's robot technology is leading the way in expedited shipping processes. At their fulfillment centers fifteen thousand orange robots move freely across warehouse floors, they scan bar codes and take orders wirelessly from central computers. Once an order is received, the robots find the item and bring it to a warehouse employee. This reduces shipping times and enhance efficiency. This has reduced Amazon's average shipping time from an hour-and-a-half to get a package out the door, to as little as 13 minutes.
