Guest of Honour: David Thomas, Deputy Director, Green Deal Demand, Department of Energy and Climate Change.

A year on from the official launch of the Green Deal, this seminar will provide a timely opportunity to review progress and consider the way forward for the scheme in the context of the government's wider energy efficiency strategy.

Delegates will consider the relatively slow rate of Green Deal take-up and how this might be boosted - looking at ways of improving both consumer and business engagement - as well as whether radical overhaul is necessary.

They will also examine the Government's energy policy more widely, focusing on how the different schemes could be better integrated, the role of the Energy Companies Obligation and how best to achieve the objectives of the scheme in relation to reducing fuel poverty in the UK, as well as how strategies in England compare with those elsewhere, including Scotland.
