Recently female scientists and leaders from more than 35 countries around the globe met in Suffern, New York - to discuss the relationship between climate change policy and women's empowerment. The first International Women's Earth and Climate Initiative summit included panel discussions on topics like food security - fossil fuels and transitioning to clean-energy alternatives.
