ZeDay: The Global Moratorium on Fossil Fuel Combustion

ZeDay takes place on September 21 and it is a day for people all over the planet to strive for zero emissions. In 2011, the fourth ZeDay, has the theme, “Get creative!” How can we all make the most of the moratorium? Rather than feeling disempowered – how might we all feel energized without using fossil fuel energy?

The Way Forward is Clear
The Guidelines are simple:
1. Don’t use or burn oil or gas or coal.
2. Minimize (or eliminate) your use of electricity generated by fossil fuels.
3. Don’t put anyone in harm’s way: All essential and emergency services operate normally.
4. Do your best, be creative, have fun, enjoy the day!

Interrupt the Big Burn
Help safeguard the well-being of future generations. Shut everything down for one day. Power up on renewable energy. Start conversations about the future you envision for our world. Encourage everyone you know to take part as ZeDay will benefit everything and everyone on our planet.
