Event - Inclusive Green Growth Partnership Signing Ceremony

The launch of a new global partnership designed to boost green growth financing will take place on Monday, December 7, 2015, 15:30 - 18:30, at the Korea Pavilion, UN Blue Zone, COP21 Paris, France.  Inclusive Green Growth Partnership will expand opportunities for developing countries to obtain financing for low-carbon, sustainable, and climate-resilient projects.

Yvo de Boer, the Director-General of GGGI, former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and former chief UN climate negotiator, will unveil the new global initiative with multilateral development banks and UN organizations. There will also be other special guests for the signing ceremony, two high-level panels and a reception.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), an intergovernmental organization founded to support and promote green growth, will unveil the Inclusive Green Growth Partnership, an initiative with multilateral development banks including the Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and regional UN organizations, at a high-level launch event on December 7th at COP21 with a signing ceremony, two high-level panels, and a reception.

The Partnership aims to support developing countries seeking to identify green growth opportunities and investments by building capacity to develop green capital projects, supporting efforts to promote readiness for climate finance, and preparing green investment projects that can attract private capital.
