Video - Bob Inglis Explains how Conservative Principles can Combat Climate Change
In this Ted X video Bob Inglis tells the story of how he progressed from a climate denier to a climate action advocate. What makes his story unique is that his solutions to climate change rely on the core principles of conservatism.
Bob Inglis served as a member of the US House of Representatives for South Carolina's Fourth Congressional District (Greenville, Spartanburg, Union counties) for 12 years (1993-98 and 2005-10). In the midst of the financial crisis in 2010, arch-conservatives like the tea party and their ilk caused him to lose his bid for reelection.
Inglis is now the Executive Director of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative (E&EI) based at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. Inglis founded and launched the national, grassroots organization in July 2012. E&EI is guided by the conservative principles of free enterprise and economic growth, limited government, liberty, accountability and reasonable risk avoidance to solve energy and climate challenges.
