2011 National Clean Energy Workforce Education Conference

On March 8 - 10, 2011, the fourth National Clean Energy Workforce Education Conference will be held in Saratoga Springs, New York. This event offers the most current information on instructional strategies, curricula development, skill standards, and best practices.

Ideal for those offering or planning training programs for the renewable energy and energy efficiency markets.Attendees will include representatives from community colleges, vocational high schools, four-year schools,industry-sponsored training programs, labor and apprenticeship programs, government agencies, workforce development boards, credentialing bodies, utilities, and others.

The two-day conference will offer over 80 presentations, 24 sessions and 10 workshops. Topics include balancing classroom and field experiences, incorporating new skills into training programs, introducing clean energy technologies and careers to high school students, instructional strategies for creative learning, labor market research results, providing new opportunities for disadvantaged workers, and much more.

The conference will be preceded by one day of technical workshops covering energy efficiency, solar, codes, geothermal, small wind, and other new and thought-inspiring topics. Plenary speakers from community colleges, workforce policy centers, government, trades, and the utility industry will share their perspectives. Over 20 concurrent sessions will address program details, lessons learned, and results.
