ECS Conference on Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage & International Conference on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XIV)

This major international conference will be held on July 26 to July 31 July, 2015 at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

This event is a forum for the discussion of interdisciplinary research from around the world through a variety of formats, such as invited and keynote oral presentations, poster sessions, short courses, guest and award winning lecturers, a dynamic technical exhibit, and much more.

This is the first of a series of planned biennial conferences in Europe by The Electrochemical Society on electrochemical energy conversion/storage materials, concepts, and systems, with the intent to bring together scientists and engineers to discuss both fundamental advances and engineering innovations.

This major international conference of The Electrochemical Society will focus on: (A) Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XIV): all aspects of research, development, and engineering of solid oxide fuel cells; (B) Batteries: a wide range of topics related to battery technologies; and (C) Low Temperature Fuel Cells: low-temperature fuel cells, electrolysers, and redox flow cells.

This conference is devoted to the following areas:

Section A: Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XIV)–All aspects of research, development, and engineering of solid oxide fuel cells. Lead Organizer: Subhash C. Singhal, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Section B: Batteries–A wide range of topics related to battery technologies. Lead Organizer: Peter G. Bruce, University of Oxford

Section C: Low Temperature Fuel Cells–Low-temperature fuel cells, electrolyzers, and redox flow cells. Lead Organizer: Hubert A. Gasteiger, Technische Universität München, Germany.
