This event will take place on on Friday February 8th 2013 at Carleton University, Room 608, Robertson Hall, Ottawa Ontario. This policy workshop is hosted by Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue.
This international workshop will feature experts from Canada, Europe, and the US who will examine public attitudes toward environmental policy in a comparative context. Presentations will include analysis of cross-national survey research data on environmental attitudes based on the International Social Survey Programme; the Canadian survey is run by Carleton’s Survey Centre.
The conference will place attitudes in Canada in a comparative context, particularly in relation to European attitudes. The speakers will also explore mechanisms through which public attitudes may (or may not) have an impact on government policy; these include vehicles such as elections and political party activity.
Public registration will be accepted until February 4th (Monday). Please note that the registration can be closed before February 4th if capacity has been reached. The workshop is free of charge; a complimentary lunch will be provided to registered attendees.
The Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada under its Strategic Knowledge Clusters program.
Registration is required and seating is limited.
