Australian GRI Conference on Sustainability and Integrated Reporting

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), with the support of the Australian government, is holding its first ever regional Conference in Melbourne, Australia – the Australian GRI Conference on Sustainability and Integrated Reporting. GRI’s first ever regional conference will take place on 26-28 March 2012.

Australian and international speakers will be brought together to explore current knowledge and inspire new thinking about sustainability and integrated reporting.

With a the theme of Innovate – Integrate – Collaborate, the Australian GRI Conference on Sustainability and Integrated Reporting will help bridge the divide between Australian and Asia Pacific organizations and international developments in integrated reporting .

The outcomes of this Conference will help inform GRI’s thinking on integrated reporting and the next generation of its Sustainability Reporting Guidelines - G4.

Increasingly complex and pressing sustainability issues mean there is a greater need than ever for effective reporting to play its part in the drive towards a sustainable global economy. Corporations, stock exchanges, governments and other organizations are recognizing the value of sustainability integrated into core strategy and business practice.

Sustainability and integrated reporting is evolving rapidly, not least in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Integrated reporting and the development of the next generation of GRI’s Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, G4, are under the spotlight and need to be explored, shaped and understood.

The early bird discount will close on Monday 13 February.
