Krosinsky's Top Five Events of 2012

Cary Krosinsky is vice president for Trucost. Trucost has built the world's most extensive time series database of over 700 emissions and pollutants as are generated by more than 4,500 public companies around the world, and uses this data to help portfolio managers understand their environmental footprints, helping lower them while maintaining and enhancing financial performance.

The top five public events on Krosinsky's radar for winter 2012 include:

The three State of Green Business events in January,
1. Minnesota
2. New York
3. San Francisco.

4. The ACCO Climate Leadership Awards, now scheduled for Orlando in late February/early March.

5. GLOBE's biannual event is in March in Vancouver

In addition to the above top five, Krosinsky is hosting an event on Sustainability & Investing at Columbia University's Low Library Rotunda on March 19, where he will also teach a class at the Earth Institute.

Later in the year Krosinsky has noted the following five sustainable events:

1. CERES

2. BSR

3. Rio+20

4. VERGE

5. TBLI

As stated by Krosinsky, "2012 poised to be another year filled with important events, where we can all have a chance to meet, discuss and find practical solutions together to the challenges we face in a world of what appears to be unstoppable overshoot if we continue with business as usual. We owe nothing less to our children and their children to try and find a sustainable path forward now."
