Webinar: Identifying Hidden Energy and Sustainability Costs

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM PST (1:00 PM EST) Hara and Intuit will be conducting a complimentary webinar titled, “Identifying Hidden Energy and Sustainability Costs: How to Achieve Visibility and Transparency,” which will be hosted by Environmental Leader. This webinar will feature Tom Harrington, Senior Program Manager, Workplace Services at Intuit and Jason Smith, Manager, Sales Engineering at Hara.

This webinar will show how organizations are gaining comprehensive visibility of their overall energy spend with a single, enterprise-wide system of record.

The complimentary webcast will cover:

Speakers:

Tom Harrington is a Senior Program Manager in Intuit’s Workplace Services organization. His current role includes oversight of the outsourced facility management partner, the end to end Workplace contribution to sustainability at Intuit, and even some commodity management in the form of Energy Procurement. Tom’s been with Intuit Workplace for nearly three years, preceded by a one year stint in Intuit Procurement and the five previous years at Intuit managing the outsourced manufacturing of Intuit product in Supply Chain. Tom, a Certified Purchasing Manager, has more than thirty years of materials experience with the likes of Synopsys, Southwestern Bell Communications (SBC), SRI International, Lockheed and Peterbilt Motors Company.

Jason Smith is the Manager of Sales Engineering at Hara. Prior to joining Hara, Jason was the Vice President of key accounts at ClimateCHECK where he was the lead for US business development and operations and developed relationships and managed clients such as Red Bull NA, Adobe Inc, Gilead Biopharmaceuticals, BrightSource Energy, and many others within the US. Previously, Jason was the executive director of LiveNeutral.

During his tenure at LiveNeutral, Jason helped facilitate numerous greenhouse gas reduction initiatives at major organizations, such as American Electric Power, Williams-Sonoma, DuPont, and University of Colorado. Jason has also been a faculty member at the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute where he authored and taught the course on guidance for the Carbon Disclosure Project’s corporate respondents. He earned his MBA in sustainable management from Presidio Graduate School, where he continues to lecture. Jason also sits on the board of Climate Cycle, a fundraiser created to bring renewable energy to public schools across the country.
