Event - 2013 Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition

Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (RETECH) will take place on September 9-11 in Marriott Wardman Park in Washington DC. This conference will address cleantech business development in the military & government. As new developments in renewable energy continue to grow, it’s important for you to stay on top of the ever-changing innovations in the industry. RETECH’s Conference program addresses today’s most pressing issues and opportunities facing every discipline of the renewable energy industry across four comprehensive tracks.

Participants can choose sessions from any track to create their customized agenda.

New for 2013! Business Development

The business of renewable energy technology is ever-changing. Financing for Cleantech was down 33% in 2012, but capital investment for 2013 is much more positive and poised for growth. This track focuses not only on how to finance your project, but how to sell renewables, federal and state policies and tax credits for our industry, technology performance insurance and the larger international renewable energy marketplace.

Renewable Energy Technology

The cornerstone track of RETECH, the Renewable Energy Technology track will give updates on the key markets within our industry: Wind, Solar, Hydro, Waste to Energy and Biomass. Stakeholders from each market give updates on how they performed in 2013, what is expected in the next 3-5 years and how they will continue to make their technology more commercially viable.

Power Generation

The power generation track focuses on the “How” of renewable energy. How do you integrate renewables into the grid? What breakthroughs are there in long distance transmission? What storage solutions work best? How do utilities capitalize on smart grid technology? The track kicks off with one of the highest-rated sessions at RETECH: The Utility Roundtable: How to sell to Utilities in a Changing Landscape.

Military and Government

The best technology development in the U.S. starts within the DoD. And for our liquid fuel-dependent force, renewable energy technology becomes more about national security and less about social responsibility. This track focuses in on the DoD’s Net Zero goal, the military’s role in advanced biofuels, alternative fuel fleets and electric drive technology, as well as the greening of federal facilities.
