Green and Environmental Job Search Resources

Although there are tens of millions of opportunities afforded by the green jobs revolution, it is not always easy for the uninitiated to know how to go about getting these jobs.

People want to work for a healthier, more sustainable world. According to a recent report the vast majority of millennials indicated they want green jobs. A BEIS survey of 1,000 young people aged 18-24 reveals that more than two thirds of 18-24 year olds are interested in working in the green economy.

The not-for-profit organization, Environmental Careers Organization (ECO) provides free resources to help job seekers secure employment in the green jobs sector. Although ECO focuses primarily on technical and scientific positions, traditionally from the environment industry, these resources have wide applicability. In addition to their environmental job board, ECO provides a variety of services such as paid internships; environmental certification; job classification, human resource trends and statistics.
