Event - Energy for Tomorrow: Powering Sustainable Development

Energy for Tomorrow will take place on November 19–20, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur. Energy’s center of gravity is shifting decisively to Asia, with Southeast Asia’s energy demand expected to increase more than 80 percent by 2035. In this context, the pursuit of a low-carbon, efficient energy system to enhance energy security, affordability and sustainability is especially important.

Some of the most influential figures from the global energy community will convene to share best practices and discuss opportunities and challenges. The theme of the conference, “powering sustainable development,” reflects Malaysia’s intensified investment in clean energy and grid initiatives, which will also support a knowledge-based, innovation-driven developed nation.

The conference will explore which government policies, business models and investments will ensure a sustainable development path, and which strategic challenges and new business opportunities will arise as the region moves toward clean energy.
