Video - Sustainability Includes the Fight Against Corruption



Corruption is an intolerable obstacle to sustainability. Business efficiency and fair competition are undermined by corruption. Sustainability entails full respect for the law, regulations, and fairness.

One of the tracts at Rio+ 20 last June was titled, "Anti-Corruption Risk Assessment as Basis for a Sustainable Organisation." Corruption constitutes a material risk that is unsustainable.

The new GRI reporting guidance, known as the G4 addresses the issue of corruption.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon encourages companies to utilize the UN Global Compact's online learning program and join with the United Nations to combat corruption. The Global Compact's e-learning tool allows companies to easily obtain practical guidance on how to fight corruption in all forms through six interactive dilemma scenarios.
