Living Routes Ecovillages environmental study program brings education to life by creating learning opportunities in ecological communities all around the world. Ecovillages moves beyond theory and exposes students to real-world issues including sustainable development and green building.
Ecovillages are communities with the goal of becoming more socially, economically and ecologically sustainable. The Ecovillages environmental program includes study in places like Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, Israel, India, Scotland and Australia.
The Ecovillages program exposes students to real world solutions to real world issues in real time as they unfold on the ground. Students that enroll in the Ecovillages program can earn college credit from the University of Massachusetts Amherst through their study abroad program.
Through academic and experiential coursework, environmental community service learning, and cultural excursions, students develop the understanding, skills and commitment to embark on careers that are destined to make a difference.
