Who should attend
This networking event for women in sustainability is designed for women at a crossroads in their career. Somen who are a couple of decades into their working lives may be ready to regroup and recharge, which is why this one is called “She is Still Sustainable”. In addition to women who are mid-career, this event is for women who may want to move into the sustainability field. This event is for women, who are working or aspiring to shift their work into sustainability.
What you can expect
SiSS offers an opportunity to meet and connect more meaningfully with like-minded women at a similar stage of their lives. There will be plenty of time for conversation and networking. Attendees will share their ideas about how they can affect change in the world, about their lives, choices and the particular joys and challenges of being a woman working in this field. Attendees will have the opportunity to share stories, concerns, hopes, expectations, and challenges, as well as listening and engaging with other women about their career experience to date and their ongoing ambitions in their world of work. Together they will explore ideas of gender and diversity, life stories and agency while acknowledging the difficult ecological and political realities of the world today. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and curiosity to the open space discussions, think through your career with others, learning from other women’s experiences and plan for the next stage of your life and work in sustainability. The aim is for you to enjoy engaging with other like-minded women, learning by sharing experiences, and leaving with a sense of positivity about your achievements and your future path, with a new network of women in sustainability.
