Event - Inspiring Engagement: Enabling Habits That Drive Sustainable Change

Inspiring Engagement - Enabling Habits That Drive Sustainable Change will take place at Network Orange, ING DIRECT Downtown Café 221 Yonge Street (Yonge & Shuter), Toronto, ON, Canada. This event is being held by SPRING and will feature Christine Wickett, Senior TEEM Program Manager, Energy Advantage.

You’ve installed energy efficient lights, lighting sensors, completed an HVAC retrofit, reduced paper use in your offices and set up a recycling program. Next, you’ve detailed corporate wide sustainability goals and have implemented operational procedures to meet these targets. So what’s next?

Upon meeting with initial success investing in facilities and operational efficiencies, many organizations look to advance their sustainability initiatives by engaging stakeholders and identify addition cost-saving opportunities by engaging their stakeholder – be they employees, customers, partners, etc.

Stakeholder engagement is an integral piece to capturing the highest business value from sustainability. For example, a building’s performance is not solely based on the its design, systems or equipment, but on how stakeholders operate and occupy the building.

Christine Wickett will present a variety of best practices for engaging stakeholders in sustainability, and will present different behavioural change management strategies that can take your sustainability program to the next level. Participants will then be encouraged to share their insight and experience during the subsequent peer-to-peer dialogue.
