Architecture After Oil: Natural Building in the 21st Century

Architecture After Oil: Natural Building in the 21st Century will take place on July 26, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario between 7-9pm, (Ryerson University, The Pit, 325 Church Street). The event will include world-renowned engineer and researcher Bruce King. He will make a public presentation of Architecture After Oil: Natural Building in the 21st Century. Bruce will make the case for the use of natural building materials and methods in a modern context, showing how architecture can become much more planet and human friendly. Bruce is the author of the books Buildings of Earth and Straw, Design of Straw Bale Buildings and Making Better Concrete. His leads the Ecological Building Network and maintains a private engineering practice in San Francisco. The suggested donation is $5-15.
